The story so far
My interest in photography can be traced back about 16 years to a family outing to
Gougane Barra in Co. Cork to mark my brother's First Communion. As far as I can recall the camera in my possession that day was a well-used Pentax SLR (film of course!).
Since then I've rarely been far from a camera, and having owned my fair share of point-and-shoot cameras, first film and then digital, I eventually returned to the SLR with a Nikon D50 and more recently a Nikon D300.
I now shoot with a professional-grade full-frame Nikon D700, complete with professional lenses ideally suited to my main areas of interest -
wedding photography and
portraiture. When possible I also enjoy shooting
sports, while my habit of always bringing a camera on my travels regularly presents some good opportunities to shoot
landscapes too.
My membership of
Dublin Camera Club allows me to expand and improve my creative portfolio through active participations in the club's competitions.
