In Saturday’s post about Lucky Dip I mentioned a game that I had devised last year to offset the printing, mounting, bagging and exhibiting costs of the People’s Photography exhibition.  That game was Photo Bingo and after its success last year I’ve decided to run it again.  Read on to find out a bit more about it, or just click on the grid above to go to straight to the 2010 Photo Bingo page.

The game is bascially a lucky dip, in that for a cost of €9.99 (plus P&P*) you pick a number and I send you a mounted print (ready for framing in a 16″x12″ frame) featuring the image that is hidden behind the number.  The prints were all personally printed by me (i.e. they are not from a website or a photo retailer, and so you can be guaranteed that they were good quality) and are images that were chosen for exhibition at People’s Photography, and so are photos that I’m quite proud of.  Hopefully that reassures you as to the quality of the prints.

They have all also featured on the blog in the past, so if you tend to like what you’ve seen here before, you will hopefully be happy with what you get.

This year the prints are all in colour, and are largely a bright and colourful selection of images.

There are no portraits (apart from one dog), wedding shots or baby shots.  They are mainly landscapes, streetscapes and architectural shots – some from Dublin, others from elsewhere in Ireland, and some from abroad.

I’m selling them at close to cost price with the hope of paying for the mounts, backing board, tape, bags, paper and ink that I needed to buy to exhibit them, and if you consider that a nice wooden 16″x12″ frame can be found at Ikea for €8.99, there’s the possibility of having a framed photographic print on your wall for a little over €20.

If the idea appeals, think of a number between 1 and 25 and head over to the Photo Bingo page to play!

And if you want to spread the word to friends you think might be interested in playing, I’d be delighted for you to share a link to this post or the photo bingo page!

* P&P is €2 to Ireland, €3.50 to the rest of the world, and prints are sent in hard-backed envelopes to protect them in the post.
