		<description>Glad it&#039;s timely and useful Margaretha.  I guess I would temper it by saying I am sure there are many others who would argue the case for primes over zooms - there&#039;s probably a case for primes forcing you to think more about composition for instance.  But for me and the way that I photograph, the flexibility of zooms is important.   I would suggest that at some point you spend money on the Nikkor f/1.8 50mm which is very reasonable - or if you can afford it the f/1.4.  I have the f/1.8 and it&#039;s small, light, sharp and very good value.  And it&#039;ll give you an idea of whether you like the idea of investing in prime lenses instead of zooms.</description>

		<description>thank you a 1000 times over - this is exactly what i needed to hear. have been saving for a lens but SO AFRAID of spending an exorbitant amount of money on the wrong lens for my nikon d90. had my heart set on a prime, but this is a sign... it&#039;s zoom for a 1st lens purchase, and prime is next on the list. many, many thanks!</description>
